This Red Tailed Hawk came to us from the Tenino High School, bleeding from his mouth and unable to fly, possibly from a collision with a car.

Explosion the Peregrine Falcon released 7/12/2008
Sometimes it takes a village to save one animal, and this was one of those times.
Explosion was found in December of 2007 near the parking lot of the Grays Harbor Audubon Society’s wildlife refuge with a dislocated elbow.

Barred Owl released 1/4/2009
This Barred Owl had a New Year’s Resolution: Don’t get into fights with cars, they're bigger then owls, they always win. He also had a lot to teach his care givers about the nature of Barred Owls.

Fall 2009—A special holiday for volunteers and animals alike!
One fox, one emu and several of the volunteers at We Are One got a special holiday treat. When we are one got a fox that seemed non-releasable and a call about an escaped emu that needed a new home, we all made our way to the Olympic Game Farm in Sequim. |
